Git Commands

 Basic Git commands:

Once Git is installed in our system, we need to configure git in order to work efficiently. Git commands are important to learn as all of the git features are supported through command line, which otherwise GUIs might not be able to support.

Configure

1st thing after installing Git is to set username & email.

$git config --global user.name "arib_anwar22"
$git config --global user.email "hiareeb@gmail.com"

The global command will set this username and password throughout the system and this is stored in the git config file. We can also change the username/email for specific directory, for that use the git config and remove the --global to set specifics.

Once the username & email has been set we can see the settings,
$git config --list

Create Repository

To create a repository, go the the path of the project,$git init This creates a git repository

We can also clone an existing repository instead of starting from scratch,(even in this case we will have a git repository in an existing directory. To clone a git repository we need to have the link to the specific repository and then execute the following line, $git clone <link>
If we want to clone the repository into the directory named something else of our choice we can give the name as an additional argument.$ git clone https://freakster22.github.com/JavaTrial Project1 This will change the directory to be named as Project1.

Recording Changes to Repository

Since we have our own repo now, we might have started working on it, on different files all together, to know the status of the files, we have the git status command.$ git status
On branch master
Your branch is up-to-date with 'origin/master'.
nothing to commit, working tree clean
git status gives the status of:

  • tracked as well as untracked files.
  • Informs the branch the user is on
  • Shows the files that were modified(tracked or newly added(untracked).

We also have the option to view a simplified, short status to check the files status,$ git status -s
$ git status --short

Tracking changes instead of files

If the status is too vagued for us, and we just want to know what exactly was changed, not just which files were changed, we can use git diff command,$ git diffThis command is to know,

>>What we have changed but not yet staged.
>>What we have changed that is yet to be committed.$ git diff --staged This will tell us, what we have staged that is yet to be commmitted.
It is important to note that git diff by itself doesn't show us all the changes made since our last commit, it only shows the changes that are still unstaged. If we have staged all the changes, git diff will give no output

Staging Modified files

In order to begin tracking a new file, we use the command git add. This command stages the file, to stage all the files,$ git add *$ git add file.txt This will stage specific file.

Committing the changes

Finally, once we are ready and sure with all the changes we can commit these changes so that they don't get lost, for this we use git commit comand, simply running this command will take us to the text editor to add a commit message. Alternatively, we can skip this and give the message in the single command$ git commit -m "Added subheading"
One thing to remember is git commit will only commit the files that were in the staging staging area, that is, the files that were added using git add command. To skip adding files and directly committing(not-recommended) we can use -a option
$ git commit -a -m ' 'Add new benchmarks'
The git commit saves the changes to your local and we can't yet find it from a different location

Removing Files

To remove a file from Git we have to remove it from staging area, and then commit. git rm is the command for the rescue.

To unstage a staged file: Lets say we have changed two files and we want to commit them as two seperate changes, but accidently we type git add * and stage them both, on typing git status, we get the following msg advice, ->(use "git reset HEAD <file>..." to unstage)
The command is a bit strange, but it works.

Unmodifying Files

Suppose we realize we want to revert the files, and don't want the changes unmodify it — revert it back to what it looked like when you last committed(or initially cloned, or however you got it into your working directory). We get the hint from git status while showing the unstaged area (use "git checkout -- <file>..." to discard changes in working directoryLet us try that command;$ git checkout -- CONTRIBUTING.md $ git status On branch master Changes to be committed: (use "git reset HEAD <file>..." to unstage) renamed: README.md -> README It’s important to understand that git checkout -- <file> is a dangerous command. Any local changes you made to that file are gone — Git just replaced that file with the last staged or committed version.

That's all for this post, in the next post we will dive deeper and get to know advanced commands as well as how to push to Github

What is Git & GitHub

Introduction: Git, basically Git is Version Control system. This is the term that one would use to describe Git, but for a newbie like me this got me more questions than answers ๐Ÿค”. Okay, to explain in basic terms let’s think of a scenario. Suppose, you are working on a Project, say Web Designing, with multiple components, modifying each component and finally running the project. This time you ran your project and see the component are out of order. Since you have made multiple changes you are unable to identify what exactly went wrong. Hence, the sane thing you do is go back to previous working component. This is called versioning.

Some people do it by locally saving the project each time it is modified with the version & Date-Time in different directories. While this can work, but there are dangers of losing this local back-up(nightmare!).

So, what is version control? In simple terms we can describe version control as a system to record and manage changes made to files and folders and it also to track changes made overtime, including adding, deleting, modifying files.

So, Git in a nutshell is distributed version control system, This means every team member has got a local store that contains all the source code of a project, including the complete history of all changes of all files. This store is called a ‘repository’ and it is located in a hidden folder ‘.git’ on the local file system.

"Git is a free and open source distributed version control system designed to handle everything from small to very large projects with speed and efficiency."

“The best way to have good ideas is to have lots of ideas…and then throw the bad ones away.”

~Linus Paulin
Involving yourself into psychology has it’s own benefits, a person ends up finding answers to questions they didn’t even know were questions in the first place. This blog was supposed to come a lot sooner, with no idea of any delay. The topic and the content kept on going around in my head for a long time but the push came a little later.

This idea emerged when I was out for a casual outing with my family for a swim, swimming gives a lot of free time for the head to make up stories, find solutions to problems and think about material that needs a lot of mental peace, Swimming offers that mental peace which I didn’t realize until that day.

I question, a lot. This is my question.

Why do some people have to be involved in order to make things right? For things to seem right? For things to stay mended? Act as if it was a missing piece even when it wasn’t?

Life is a maze that nobody will ever know how to solve because what builds up this maze is relationships, something people build on their own to survive and leave it on others to stabilize. A relationship between two people is never between two people, there is always a connecting source that evolves at the correct time. The backbone of some relationships is a third person.

When you first venture into it, the need is to be around, to be accepted with all the flaws, to be able to open yourself to experiences you could only have with that person and you get it, all of it and much more. It builds up, you explore it, find things you don’t think you need and dispose it. You question yourself, your choices, their choices, their attributes. You want to change them but not yourself. You think you’ve done enough, given enough, but have you?You think you’re keeping your happiness second, but are you? If seeking what you want, makes you happy then why can’t that happiness be out in the open? Is being selfless the only pardon to your actions because you think you suffered for long and you deserve to be happy for a while?

To be the mid way of a relationship is to have the power to know what love can do, if not between two people, it stays intact because the third one won’t give up. To be the mid way is to know, that’s the only way this love will stay. To be the mid way is to feel the love that wasn’t for you but everything you wished for, from the shooting star.

I look at these two beautiful, smiling faces and ask myself, if the only way they could be this happy is when I’m around, can I be selfless enough to hang around for them?

It’s half past six on a winter evening, the color of the pool complements my thoughts. It’s dark, it’s beautiful. It’s a mid way to my reality and mind’s eye. It’s Indigo.

From Beans to Leaves

Bonjour les amis! With the pandemic going on, we never have had so much of free time ever. Away from all the time wasted in traffic and few precious moments spent together with family and friends, right now we're stuck with ourselves locked in our homes. The first few weeks were a headache with all the extra load given from work where you have to prove that you are actually working at home, so glad that passed away. Now with more and more time at home, scrolling through the explore page finding out the bright side of this pandemic I came across how our ecosystem is healing and the trees, birds and the wildlife is finally breathing, eventually living without the much restriction or boundaries to abide by. This made me think if I could make my home a better place and at the same time help in this healing process. So my quest to gardening began.

Aloe Plant that I got from Amazon
Aloe Plant that I got from Amazon

I got on Amazon and ordered 3 pots and soil. Now I needed a plant. I started my research, "Aloe Vera" was my first choice. For plant 2 and 3 I decided to do my own hard-work. I took the easiest seeds to germinate, beans and lemon. Soon my accessories came and I was ready. As my Aloe Vera arrived I checked on my seeds and chickpea has already germinated. I was so happy seeing the start of what I had dream.

I started checking on Aloe everyday, wondering when will they start growing new leaves. For the bean seed I had potted it in soil since it had germinated. Post 3 days of my Aloe arrival, I checked my lemon seed, there was no sign of anything and I became uneasy. Checking online I came to know it would take almost 40 days for shoot to show up. After a week, the leaves of my aloe was starting to turn brown and bend at the tips. I had placed it in bright direct sunlight for 6hrs and it resulted in sunburn. Also checking online I came to know I should water it only if the soil appears dry. I have so much to learn.

Aloe and rubber

2 weeks passed and I was already irresistible, I gave up on lemon seeds, no no.. I did not throw them. I just left them to concentrate on others. Now even the online deliveries were restricted and I had a lot of soil left, so I took old bucket and jars and filled them. Now I just needed plants. I had 2 buckets and a jar. I started reading more and more articles on plants and how they behave how they grow. Reading helps you to know a lot and in turn take better care and steps when things aren't going in the right direction.

So I learnt the key is patience and thus, I got a few more plants to add my collection. Certainly it adds beauty to home. Well, I did the research and honestly it does not make much of a difference to the oxygen levels or even reducing the carbon emissions or filter the toxic gas. However, this should not stop you.

In this journey of growing plants, I encountered a lot of problems, life leaf falling off, turning brown, growth stagnant. These problems might mess you up since they are all the same, but eventually a few clicks online will save the greens. As a newbie, the problem I encountered was over-watering. I thought watering every now and then will speed up growth, end result: root rot! While my money plant grew in water bottle, my aloe and rubber plant needed much less water.

This journey definitely taught me patience, caring, as well as how each plant is different yet they all give immense happiness when they glow up green. I had to fight few gnats put some fertilizers frequently but all the work is worth it when you sip your coffee and breathe that fresh air. Let's reward you all with my collection:

PS: My lemon plant germinated, but not much of a progress, but after-all I've learnt patience. :D

Quarantine Thoughts

Konichiwa Yuujin! It's that time of the year again. 15th September. 2yrs have passed since Dad passed away. I still have the reminder set for the exact time. Yepp... things have moved pretty much forward and as we wished it's been stable. I get reminded you him once in a while and yeah sometimes I cry to it too, but yeah that's mostly when I am alone. Don't want to bother people or more accurately put this way- Don't want people to bother me. We have still few paper-works pending. He used to take care of it all and maybe that's what spoiled me. I don't care much about those. The lockdown has been a great way of bonding, although I wish to be a more of a care-taker, however I do want Mummy to be seen as the high authority and keep things as they were. Just want everything to be gradual rather than sudden. My creativity has hit the rock bottom here. I don't know how but I don't find the time that looked so much easier when I used to be alone. Let's give staying awake till morning a shot, I mean what could go wrong.

Ahh.. and to be on the same ground, Covid still exist killing thousands if not millions every week. People now have been more casual to it. Of course you can't bind people more than the limits. I try my best to be more at home, while there are lots of forces pulling me out but the health of other members compels me to stay home & break the chain. This has actually impacted my health. I'm the brand ambassador of couch potato. With all the extra Quarantine calories, I am sure I've beefed up, My closer circle might agree that I need to, but exercise is equally important as against to getting belly fat. Sadly the park nearby is closed and running on roads with all the rash drivers here is too risky. I waiting for the park to re-open, well to be honest I'm procrastinating. I actually should get into action and this is why journal helps me, to introspect. Well, thinking of where I have been spending most of my time, I am basically left with my all time favorite game; CS:GO ๐Ÿ’“ and the second one "YouTube".

For videos I have 3 goto apps, Netflix, Amazon Prime and YouTube.(well Instagram too, but I like stationary memes) Although not having Youtube Plus, my digital wellbeing says I'm a lot more active on Youtube than others. Lately astronomy has grasped me in all the mystery it beholds. How amazingly scientist have all worked on explaining the very basics of it and simultaneously unfolding new mysteries. How amazing a black hole is. The life of a star, the planets all around us and all that beholds in the millions of galaxies that exist that we may never even get a chance to see. It might be depressing but is at the very same time amusing.

Let's talk about the recent study of the planet existing in our very own Solar system. The neighbour planet Venus. How it can be possible for life to exist on Venus. I was reading an article that just a Telescopic view suggest that something might be alive on Venus right now. I have linked the article if you want to give it a read, all this makes me so enthusiastic on finding life, yet how insignificant we are. Not just time, but even our actions are relative. Few theories suggest that we might even be just a hologram and all these might just be a test or say a short dream or something of an amusement for the next intelligent species. Well... I could go on. These are the theories that makes life more meaningless to me. People point the key term "depression", but how can we actively work on something that would just be dust(or garbage value) in few decades or light years, who knows.. time is relative. The Holy books suggest, time somewhere else to be like 1 min = 7 years. How do you explain that. Or all the afterlife stories. Maybe this is just a test, where we are given new lives to live in set of rules only to observe how we behave and accordingly given the roles. The theories are unlimited and so is the universe and so are my thought, but alas time is bounded. Sayonara... Will come up with a proper article soon.

Minimalism: the art of Living

Minimalism is beyond time, it is Stillness of Perfection.

When you think of Minimalism, you will most probably identify it with the root word minimal, which refers to reduced amount. Many people refer minimalism as a loosing substance and they indulge so much in loosing stuff around them that in the process, they start to loose themselves.

According to Cambridge Dictionary,  Minimalism is:
a style in art design, and theatre that uses the smallest range of materials and colours possible, and only very simple shapes or forms.

Minimalism has been a trend around for a while and while many do understand the basic concept, they either tend to go too far or altogether go in a different direction. I choose to believe minimalism to be related to minimizing, but more importantly de-cluttering your life.
Minimalism for me is a tool, rather than a way of living. People following a trend, incline to make mistakes since they focus more on the visual aspect rather than underlying mindset.

I was introduced to the concept of minimalism from the Stoicism that I came across while attending toastmasters session. I dived deep into stoic philosophies of Seneca and Marcus Aurelius. Stoicism is the Greek philosophies that depends on 4 virtues viz. Wisdom, Morality, Courage and Moderation. I was moved by their philosophies of how simple life can be and how complex we make it for ourselves.

"Moderation is the key"

We might have heard this alot and might have even followed this once in a while, but reading the articles on Seneca made me realize what I was doing was wrong. While moderation is the key, but we look at it in a more materialistic way instead of spiritual. From there I was moved toward the true definition of Minimalism. For me minimalism is de-cluttering your life. Removing not just the stuff that you are in possession of but also removing your worries, anxiety , removing every other thing that hold you back. Removing toxic people and re-evaluating the things you need.

In order to live a luxurious life, you must also live a life simple, with less

Let's talk about materialistic aspect:

With the rise in digitization, shopping has never been this easy. This results in buying of things that we don't need, Stuff that just looks fancy in the pictures or we just need it for the showing purpose. The world has become more dominant of displaying their wealth by the items they possess in shorter amount of time. Buying any stuff from Amazon is just a matter of few clicks. With that power people profusely exploit and end up buying what they don't need and isn't necessary.

From a non-materialized aspect:

We end up possessing more worries, work loads, end up consuming more digital world. All this as a result ends up giving us the stress which we brought upon us. Remember, Less is more! When you start removing the unnecessary distractions, reducing digital time, taking time off your work, having a work-life balance; you end up with more time to yourself, more time with Family and more time enjoying life than stressing about it.

We always thought why time runs faster when we grow up, but never realize the time management and how minimizing could help you. Even from the materialistic aspect, if your desires to possess excessive stuff is held back and you only invest your time and money on stuff you need, you will have much more time in your hand and also cut back from work since the money that was being wasted is now saved.

Stoicism also taught me satisfaction, by removing clutters from our lives and living simple ones leads us towards a more happy lifestyle and this is what actual luxury is. A controlled life is driven by you not others or bits and pieces around you. Take minimalism as a tool not as a way of living, there are people who take it way to far and removing most stuff around them leaving them dissatisfied with life. The mantra of minimalism is lost there, minimalism is all about possessing of stuff that has a meaning to you, impacts your life and makes it beautiful.

Benefits:

The benefits of minimalism that I experience everyday is the first and foremost "Freedom". I have more space in my apartment, more space in my life, to chose my goals and not limit myself to the stuff in my life. I also get a sense of responsibility when I chose to possess only those that necessary, in a way I am saving the environment, also it helps me cut back my spending and save for the goals that I have planned or unplanned circumstances. Hence providing me with a peace of mind and happiness. The less clutter I have, the more focus I can infuse and prioritize. Two tips I have for my readers:

1. Do not put pressure on yourself, remember, Minimalism is a way of living, or a tool not an end goal.

2. Do not loose yourself or make it unattainable.

That's all I have to say from the experience Minimalism has brought in my life, I'll continue to practice this art but not be bound to it.

“No person has the power to have everything they want, but it is in their power not to want what they don’t have, and to cheerfully put to good use what they do have.” — Seneca

Peace ✌️

Life is it a Race?

“Life is a journey to be experienced, not a problem to be solved.” – Winnie the pooh

Life is not a race, they said
Take time and calm your mind, while themselves running.

If life isn't a race, why is time money?
If life isn't a race, why is the society judging?
If life isn't a race, why does a minor stumble so much frowned upon?
If life isn't a race, why does everyone runs until dawn?
If life isn't a race, why is taking a break such a big deal?
If life isn't a race, why isn't everyone following their zeal?
If life isn't a race, why are medals/prizes/certificates seen as success?
If life isn't a race, why is everyone chasing the next sunset?
If life isn't a race, why is everyone trying to be ahead?
If life isn't a race why are we always competing for a comfortable death?
If life isn't a race, why are there so many comparisons?

If life isn't a race, why are career path seen as
running tracks where you can't even change lanes?
If life isn't a race, why do the rich get a head-start while the poor fails to lead?
If life isn't a race, why does money helps you pass all
the drug test & weed?

I could go on and on... But life isn't a race, let me live life at my pace and judges, please be out of my face.

“Life is not a race but a pace we need to maintain with reality.”

When gone

As I was listening to this new song, "Aaftab" I reckoned, what happens to this world, after you are gone. Then I realized how the world perceives the scenario of you not being around them anymore. It basically depends on how you are gone and while you were alive what surrounding had you been living in.
Recently the news of this Indian actor Sushant Singh Rajput passing away suddenly, by committing suicide. The news was shocking, but what came aftermath was a wide-spread of condolences and conspiracy theories of what might have led to the act. Nevertheless, one thing was common, everyone was shocked and wanted to have him back once again. At least talk to him while alive. Talk to him once, hold him once, stop him once, but now that he is gone all we have with us are memories of the movies he did and what a wonderful man he was. The reaction was not unusual, from expected, but different from a common person. Let say a student c omitted suicide, all he has left behind is a world untouched and not interacted. Although, there are things which the said actor also might not have touched, but he surely had an impact. Then again there is death, the natural death that comes to a man, maybe sooner die to some illness or the old age, but that is not much of an impact to the society.
Since I lost my Dad, I know it was quite much of an impact, to those close, but that is widely accepted and we would move over it. But an abrupt death by suicide actually might be an ending of a bright aura that the person emitted, but it surely did a chain reaction with others thinking, this might be a way to escape whatever they are going through. I am no one to judge if that is correct of incorrect but that is a way for sure, which people have going in their head. There are religious books that mark this action as an unforgivable sin and we have a society that explains these as acts of a coward, but do they actually think of what made someone "coward". The said actor, had spread so much smile and himself quoted "Suicide is never a solution" had to go through this.
I really wanted to talk on this matter, but the problem is I don't really have a person in my life to talk to someone with and this is something that needs to be addressed. Sushant must really been going through a lot, but really a man with 80Million followers on Instagram really had no one to talk to. Not a single person. This can be answered considering the situation in my life. Let us be realistic, 80M followers, must have a few 'true' friends from his initials days of school, those school friends, like me, may not be much in contact, so that eliminates, sharing sensitive information with them and maybe asking for solutions. Due to changing schools and changing places where my childhood was spent, I literally have no school friends with whom I talk to. Let alone be the chance of explaining my problem and asking solutions to. Moving further, there may be college friends, but the thing with him is, he was an amazing student who was studious, and had interest not just in academic syllabus, but actually extra knowledge of many other things, mostly kids with that broad of a knowledge don't have a big circle, or maybe just too busy with himself that he never had chance to grow the friendship with them. Let us not totally cut them all out, maybe he had say 5 close friends. There is one fact that we are ignoring, he dropped out. So, being in a totally different field(acting) drifts him further apart from his friends. Now being in acting industry he might have made contacts, but this cuts through, how many of us have the friends from our offices, even friends with the people working on same floor? That would give a variable answer, some might some might not. I have people who have been working in offices for 2 straight years, but don't have a single person to spend a weekend with. For me, I might have friends from offices, but rarely to we talk on sensitive matter or even talk much other than office period.
I have the same 5 friends from college, but as we are ageing, we are realizing the relation is drifting much. Few busy with their significant others, some busy in their office schedule, and those who are neither, are much occupied in themselves. Just because you are living with someone does not mean the bond with grow along, it might be stronger, but drifting apart is natural.
This is so much the situation with every third person or maybe everyone, but some people have other people to vent it out, some have other means to vent it out, people like me keep storing it and one day, think of ending this vessel altogether.
So what happens when you are gone, you had vented it out. The answer is same, how you might have lived your life. I have always tried to find positivity and happiness around me and spread the same. I might not say this much but ignoring problems and looking at the brighter side not just helps you with the problem but also helps other to perceive problems in a different ways. I want people to have my name on their lips and the memories of happiest moments put a smile on their face. I don't try hard to impress people and keep them happy, all I try to do is keep myself happier with whatever I am facing and cheer that out. Other watching me, might either laugh at my foolishness or smile at my innocence. Either way I got smile on their face. Now you might question why not look at the brighter side of dealing with problems. The brightest way sometimes I feel is, maybe crying it out. Of course I have cried in front of people and regret for that. That part of darkness I should be hiding from the people, they don't deserve it. They are good people.  The thing is I might be bad at stuff like making friends, making people stay, that is why I loose them. I might not have people who care when alive but I will have them not to be blamed after I am gone, then I might have mastered the skill of caring.

Distance

"Distance isn't for the fearful; it is for the Bold.It is for those who are willing to spend a lot of time alone in Exchange for little time with the one they Love. It is for those who know a Good thing when they see it, Even if they don't see it Nearly Enough."

Ever since we humans evolved, we are finding ways to connect, interact, explore places faster. We had a nomadic lifestyle until the Neolithic Era("The New Stone Age"). We as human beings started to settle down, mostly near Water Bodies. Farming and husbandry of plants and animals became the main occupation.
With the rise and fall of empires, Kings and Emperors started to conquer the distant part of the world. Information stared top spread out in the form of Christianity and Islamic Golden Age.
We having the tendency of hunters-gatherers started to build homes form colonies(civilisation), now running and nomadic life was no more entertained. We longed for rest and laziness started to kick in. This paved way for the sedentary lifestyle which is usually overtaken our lives right now. The sedentary life though seems to be much seated has moved us away farther.
Recently, I read this book called "Who moved my Cheese" by Dr. Spencer Johnson. One analogy that I derived is once you get the Cheese you settle down there. We don't want to move or run until and unless the Cheese finishes. Yet, in a marathon, we see runners who push themselves farther away from their limits, because that is how our body is designed. The science says that. To push the muscles farther than it's meant to go only to grow ourselves. This is how we grow. But we prefer this running and pushing mostly mentally and not physically. We run away from our problems, responsibilities and away from over-work. We have this sedentary life were we may seem to be seated is actually not the case. We have moved away keeping everything thing placed but actually distant.
Take any common House, a Child has to leave early to reach school on time, sit there for 6 hours, overlooked only to be seen as Sitting, but is now drifted apart from family. The parents are away from Child to work, and away from their parents, joint family is a rare concept. Even the helper, he's away from his home/village his family only to settle for work.
Technology that claims to have united us, banished distances has actually made us distant. This is an irony that needs further explanation though faced by all spoken by none.
When I ask a simple question:"Has technology eliminated the distances?" The quick and obvious answer is Yes. There is no point of debate. I have a different perspective. No doubt it is easier to fetch information, no need for long hours of travel. Socially most active than ever. But if thought with respect how much better has it been for us, Are we the same? No.  What I agree is, Technology has made everything affordable, but to answered if it had eliminated distances, NO. We are more Distant from our families and friends than ever. More distant from our native homeland. Distance is not just a matter of meters/feet or matter of time required to reach a place. To be thought with a sane mind, distance is How close we are from a place/person. How easily can we just drop by.
Take this example of my Friend X and his brother M. The distance is just about 57km. They don't live together because of respective Job location. It takes approx 2hrs to reach by Car, and 1hr by Metro. But do they meet on weekends? NO. Festivals? Hardly. I've seen them once a year. That's is. They don;t have any row. They usually chat and tag, but how close they are, I still doubt. We do have the technology, but not the mentality to reduce the distance. I don't solely blame Technology, That is the story of all our lives.
It's a digital age, we can't just altogether reject Tech. That is not possible. We are tuned to be Cyborgs, Hearing-aids, pacemakers, Glasses, watches that control how we interact. Certainly destroyed as people and destroying places we can reach. It's not far to go far away places, and so now we see the glimpse of humans destroying them. Think about all the forest,Top-soil,Rivers and land-acquisitions. To avoid digitally life is challenging, being bored isn't one of the problems. Socially interacting with friends and neighbours made me realise how can we still be close being far away.
To avoid extreme Technology is the major requirement this time. This is how we can recognize ourselves how far we have been only to show how close we are. We can still form civilisations right now were we are, it's all in the mentality now. After-all Man is a Social Animal.

The Joy of Giving ☺

Donating Blood costs nothing except few minutes of your time that might give someone another chance at life.- The billboard->Apollo Hospital.

As you might have guessed, yes I donated blood and it was one of the happiest moment of my life.
It was 30th Jan, Wednesday, I had a great good night sleep ready to lazily get dragged to the time when I had to go work. Soon, my phone rang, it was my Boss, The J. Jonah Jameson kind.
On picking up, the first thing I hear is : "What makes you take so much time to pick up the phone? WHERE ARE YOU RIGHT NOW?". Okay, that's not how I want my morning to go and just ruin it for the day. My mind said. Just one day more until pay-check then you're Free to go! After consolidating my spirits to still work, I kept my tone low and had to come up with excuses. Briefing the conversation, it bought good-news. No! She won't be paying me today :(, but it's my day off. Hurray! Relieved. That stress just went away which I might have to carried all day long. Although, it could've been my last day since it was my pay-day but never mind.
After winning this mini battle with my boss, and now enjoying the bliss moment of holiday, I decided to just lay in my bed all day long, that is how holidays are meant to be spent. I was ready for my Brunch when, I met a friend that informed me the incident. One of my senior had called, asking for help yestereve. His Uncle was reported with Blood Cancer and they needed 12 units of blood. Had it not been the big amount, he would have just let it go. Any help was welcomed, and time was a crucial factor here. This friend I met, was ready to offer his help and asked me if I would too. I was unsure of it. First, I was on a Ketogenic diet since a week, second I had given blood more than an year back. The only thing that bothered me then was my growling stomach, so I decided to contact him after munching something. This guy, once again followed me, this time with his plans to go. I gave it a thought, and having no stress of my work, I decided to go. The only thing that could go wrong was me being underweight- That's what my mind thought.
After the incident with my Dad, I never liked the idea of dropping out to help. I know how it feels, little help from someone does wonders, and this gesture of mine if it could save someone's life, I'd be happy. Being positive, we were on our voyage(way, Hehe) to meet the senior's friend who would take us to the Hospital. It wasn't too far, and soon we reached the Hospital with the Senior. There we met the patient's relative. He was jolly kind of person. On meeting us he was happy that we came to help and called us little angels. Haha. Soon we went inside the hospital.
The nostalgia hit me. The smell of Hospital, patients being transferred, doctors and nurses on a rush, visitors waiting in turn with their passes, everything hit me. Trying my best to hold on, I kept walking behind my friend. It felt like, once again I'm there with my Dad, switching roles with Mummy and keeping an eye on him, while talking to him distracting him of any worries he might be going, though actually I'd be distracting myself. This Hospital was almost the same, with the clean, rush environment. We followed him to the blood-bank, where the check-ups were made. Turns out, the friend who accompanied me had taken some pills last night which made them cancel him out. I went there to the Doctor's chamber, and then my weight & height was measured. And then it hit me, my height is so low... How can it be that. Why is it that? Aahh... I sooo want to be taller than what I am right now. Weight on the other hand pleased me. It was better than my expectations. While I was there, I overheard someone at the adjacent chamber, He was asked what his blood group was. Replying the Doctor, it previously used to be AB+ but few years back it changed to B+. I can hear that Doctor's laugh exploding, holding my laugh was a tough job, while my doctor was checking out my blood type for confirmation. My Doctor then smilingly questioned, "Blood Groups don't change without any transplants, you know that right?". "Of Course I know that blood groups don't change. r/madlads maybe? Haha"

I was made to drink water, and the water there tasted good, atleast better than what my dorm has to offer. I gulped more than 4 glasses there. I gave my blood, after I was done the nurse attending me said that I had good blood flow and it went faster than it usually is. It felt encouraging. Today, regular drinking of water payed off. I was given refreshment. Yayyy! I wasn't hoping for it. It was all sugary food which I had been avoiding, but I needed glucose that my body just gave off. There was happiness on the face of Uncle(relative) who was with us. That made us happy. The senior who accompanied us, too gave blood. But he being a habitual chronic smoker had to divide between the two hands, the veins had gotten thinner.
Be honest with the doctor, that's the most important. We were ready to go back. Soon Uncle, handed all of us some money as a token of gesture. That made us feel quite awkward, since we were there for the happiness of giving and not receiving anything. Politely we asked him to not do the formalities. He was a jolly person, and finally we concluded to eating someplace that would be good for both parties.
This wasn't the first time I was donating, but knowing that it will be used for someone in need it made me smile. I felt happy from inside. Last time it was for an organization. Today it was for someone in need. I hope that person turns out to be safe and healthy soon. I tried sharing this happiness with Mummy, guess what, she starts scolding me. Ugh! I had to change the topic lying that it was just a prank. Too scared, maybe being a bit frank could've helped.
Finally the day ended with my friend who actually did not donate blood getting extra eggs, while I who did donate blood, gets nothing in return, coz I don't eat eggs. Huh! Not whining, just a little self note, what you do, do it for others, from others is what you gain the real Happiness.
Talking of pranks then, I thought of playing a little prank on my girlfriend. Showed her the bandage I told I had fainted due to the extensive Ketogenic diet, to the point I was admitted to hospital and had to take Saline Solution+ Glucose for recovery. Haha, scared her to the point where she walked from work to home all the way thinking about me, actually worried. Not good I know, but I love disturbing her. The way she cares. <3 p="">
Finally ending the note, The joy in giving has much greater reward than you can see, the things that money can't buy; Happiness, inner Peace and compassion. It doesn't always need to be in the form of Money or blood. Small things like socks for a homeless is what matter. If not things, give through your gestures and kind deeds. That's all one needs to spread, the "JOY IN GIVING IS MUCH MORE FULFILLING THAN RECEIVING."
This one is cute.

When Life gives you lemons, make Lemonade.

There is no denying that life gives you lemons; the sour bitter taste of Life but it takes a lot more effort in making a lemonade out of it, most effort goes into the headstart you need to push yourself out of the zone you've landed yourself into. My already written Blog Ups and downs are part of life was way back when I had no clue how hard Life can actually be. Why is this so hard to apply when we are in the downs of life? I still wonder. This is simply a motivational post for myself, to self analyze, introspect, look at the optimistic view of life and to encourage myself if I've been this far, I can travel further more.

Moving forward, let's get updated what's been on my life these days. Excelling in my previous two interviews, I got an opportunity at one of the known M.N.C. I was feeling lucky and having bagged the position which I had always desired, I was jubilant. But since I'm utterly cursed(sic), my happiness couldn't last long. I was bashed with strong arguments how this Company was against my opportunity to grow. However, in a confused state, I grabbed the chance. Eh, Carpe Diam. I must be happy, but happiness scares me these days, at one point you're happy, next you're stressed about something that really didn't matter before or won't matter in future but can eat up your present. Plus, I was still waiting for the official confirmation. This interview came at a cost. The two different interviews were on different dates, one which clashed with the date I had to teach.

It was Friday morning 5:52 AM when I was woken up by my Roommates, they were too excited for the Recruitment drive that they did not care to sleep. Nevertheless, I was forced to go with them, with my bare desire to try, I was ready. It took us more than 2hrs to reach the spot, only to find that the company is LATE.  Fast-forwarding, I was least interested on hearing that it is a sales company, I just wanted to go back Home and then go for my teaching class. The Group-Discussion Round was astonishing when only my other two Roommates and I were selected. I just wanted to go back, but this being my first Interview chance, I wanted an experience. I stayed. They were too slow, the time passing sluggishly, I called to inform I could be late, I knew it would be worse, but talking over there(on phone) was no solution to it. The interview went late till 22:00. Next day was the  drive of a company that I wanted. I had 4 hrs of sleep, and this time, it was just me. I had to go all by myself. Waking up again at 6, I left for a different location. This was a Tech Firm and again I wanted to try.The rounds went smoothly as I was clearing them. Once again I was at the interview panel and soon I was forwarded to the HR panel. I was delighted. This was faster than the day before, and everything got over by 18:00. It was Saturday, weekend. The happiness overwhelmed any thought of my class.
Monday, I was substituted since the other teacher was ill. On reaching, the incidents took place this way:
MeReached the door, *Rings the bell*
Guardian: *Opens the door* You! Today is not your day. You don't come here anymore. *Slams & shuts the door*
M:Thinking: Shit. What do I do now, last class was my payment day.*Rings the doorbell once again* I was told that he already talked to you and that I can take today's class.
G:*Almost screaming* You talked to him, not me. Who gives you the payment? Him or me? Who do you work for? This a house, you teach my son. I don't want a teacher like you who will spoil my child. Go back. I don't need you. Talk to the one who sent you today. I will keep another English teacher. I don't want you. *screaming* GET LOST!
Me: It was just one day, I will manage Friday's class by giving him extra hours. Today I was sent by him, only because he said he a had a word with you. *Me thinking you just can't ask me to go, last class was the PAYMENT DAY. Atleast she should PayMe.*
G: You just keep saying that. You can't do anything.*Yelling* YOU'RE RESPONSIBLE FOR MY CHILD'S FUTURE. EVERY CLASS MATTERS TO ME. I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING. I DON'T WANT YOU HERE. GO NOW. WE ARE GENTLE PEOPLE. NOW DON'T SPOIL MY DAY.*Slams door shut again*
M: *Thinking what do I do now.* *Tries calling the other teacher* *cuts phone half-way* What would I say to him.
G : *Opens Door* You're still here? What do you think I will keep pleading for you?
M: No, I will make it up, I will devote extra time to him.
G: Now come inside.
M: Thank you.
G : Don't think I will keep asking you. I was informed now, He should have contacted me rather than my sister. I'm responsible for the child. And you, you're responsible if my child fails. *Starts yelling, at the top of her voice* WHAT MANNERS HAVE YOU LEARNT FROM PARENTS. CAN'T YOU PICK UP MY CALLS.WERE YOU SO BUSY? AAH, MY CHILD ISN'T IMPORTANT TO YOU. I GIVE YOU MONEY, SO ASK ME WHEN TO COME, IT'S NOT YOUR HOME, NOR THIS IS A PLAYGROUND FOR YOUR DIRTY TACTICS.
M : I was in the interview as I told you. I'm teaching your kid well. I give my time faithfully, it isn't about money.
G: Just your Interview, your exams, my kid has no value to you. You're a teacher, you must have some responsibilities.

Turns out, I'm not so good at speaking bluntly. I don't know why, but my tone can't be harsh, taking into considerations that she is elder. I respect her, but sometimes she pokes so hard that I'm unable to control the anger. Whatsoever, it had never lashed out on her yet. Today what I experienced was something for the first time, never had anyone shouted at me with so much rage and me being a mule to them. Was it respect, or the money, or the values giving by parents(HaH, she even brought that into account.). It didn't end it there, post taunts were like after-shocks that come after massive earthquake bringing more destruction. Of course, my job comes first to me. I can't just keep teaching, for the sake of her child. I had already completed his syllabus. It is just revision time. Moreover I said I would make up the time missed. This yelling, shouting, screaming, gathering crowd around her apartment only to insult me, I can't take it.I don't know but I decided, I would end it there.
This is the down, of my life right now. It was previously on 1st Jan 2019. I was sent back from door upon hearing few comments on the very first day of year, spoiling not just my morning, but day or maybe year. I know I had my up. I know I will. I keep these things to myself. Who else would listen to these bullshits. Thus writing comes for the rescue. I have a few moral principals, let her shout, be rude, pass comments the way she likes, it all depends on her. Education that she wants from me me to her child is just bookish knowledge, but the things he is learning by watching her, would add to his experience in later life. I was taught to respect, be kind. I can take it upto a certain limit, aftermath, I'm going to quit. The worst that can happen is, The kid will drop from A to B can't go below that I know, He has enough knowledge than most in his class. What I worry about is, his future. How he would treat people. What life lessons would he learn.

For my case. I have my ups coming, I just need to take in some more, then enjoy the fruit during the cold. Eventually it's for us to decide "If life gives you lemons you either "Make lemonade" OR "Squeeze into people's eyes"
"Life handed him a lemon,
As Life sometimes will do.
His friends looked on in pity,
Assuming he was through.
They came upon him later,
Reclining in the shade
In calm contentment, drinking
A glass of lemonade."

-Peace Out!☮

Nightmare

I'm lying there, partially paralysed, immovable, its all dark. Foggy surrounding, or is it smoke everywhere. I can hear my heartbeat, it's all silent like some kind of storm either just passed away or something more bigger is coming right at me. I can see the water puddles, I move my eyeballs first to the right and then to the left. It's like a war-zone, debris everywhere. My hands start to shiver, as I feel cold, I hear someone is coming, footsteps, yes those are footsteps, I can hear the "thud-thud" sound. I try moving, but I can't. I'm putting up all my effort of moving my legs, trying to stand up, but I can't. I can hear some steel clattering over somewhere far, and it is scaring, rather terrified. I gathered all my energy and put up all my effort to stand up and I'm starting to. The footsteps are now faster, and more audible. I start to walk and increase my pace to running. The darkness gathers all around, I stumble over something and Noo, I fell... it's dark deep pit, pulling out my gather to catch something, to someone catch me. My eyes wide open, I realise I'm back to my bed, my dorm(Hostel). It was just a dream. And now I'm awake. But wait, is the dream, not over yet? I have my eyes open, but I'm feeling trapped. I can't feel my hands, nor my legs. I try calling out my room-mates, someone to help me out, neither can I tilt my head, nor can I move my jaws, I can't even open my mouth. It's like "Locked-in syndrome"- a condition in which a patient is awake and aware but cannot move or speak because almost all the muscles in the body except for the eyes are paralyzed.

Nightmares have been common these days, but this, this was certainly different and something I experienced first time in my life. This was terrifying at a whole new level and even after hours of actually waking up I was still under goosebump effect with my hand literally shaking for every task I did. I got out of my Sleep-paralysis by pushing myself out of it. Trying with all my energy, like I had done in the preceding dream. The whole mood was ruined,I had my mind thinking about it all day long.
My dreams never used be this scaring or terrifying, rather it used to be all darkness, blacked out. Recently with the past events happening I think I need to calm my mind. I never really thought about Nightmares, but today post tragic event had put me into a state of shock. I had a dream, my father again, he is ill and we are trying our best to recover him. His state is worsening over time. Ahh.. I having those chills again while writing this, but I'm going to write that out, somewhere I need to vent out these emotions, can't bother people into this. While thinking about writing this out, I connected the dots, and it turns out, the state today I was in after waking up is the same state that Dad was going through in his last week. That stage where he could just roll his eyeballs, maybe shouting inside his mind, trying to have that last conversation as we were craving.
But again, I'm not sure if all my dreams have been related to him. After meeting Miley,(8th Jan) that night my dream was purely blissful. I was happy after waking up. The next day again involved her, kind of bad but at least I had her. I even talked to her about it. Those two days, it was refreshing waking up, we had each other, holding hands, by each others side. But other than those two days, I'm into lucid dreams, those nightmares. What's really worrying is why did I suddenly started dreaming, like seeing these kind of night terrors? I never used to, or rarely, once in a blue moon. These dreams are possessing plus dominating. One time it was scary again. I had this blurry images of owl and spiders, dark room, again I was shouting, phone wreaking, and something powerful entity trying to chase or coming towards me. I woke in the middle of the night, parched and sweating. I look around and there I'm in my room with everything under control. I closed my eyes and trying back to sleep when again, I'm back there in that dark room, this time, I see masked person having chats and I realise I'm back to the same dream. I have this sub-concious mind that know I'm sleep and all I need to do is open my eyes, but they are shut, like sticking with the dream around be continuing, distant chattering going on. I know something is not right and something bad is going to happen.
Dreams really do affect our daily lives. A bad dream can actually spoil your morning or worse, the whole day, anything you've planned out. Earlier, my worst dream used to be "her getting away." I guess since I've actually faced that in my real life, I'm over my worst fear and my brain is entering into new dimensions. Yeah, after all it's been long since my mind had it's own blackhole. That bright star, when it died, part of me died as well. Most of my luck and all of my brain activity too. I've never talked about her here, so let that still be the mystery girl, the Gwen, while I move on with my life figuring out how to deal with the problems that I myself create and how to solve them rather being a Bond to someone else's life.
I researched and found out "Meditation" would help. Nightmares are common if some mishap happens in your life and may continue for sometime. But the Sleep paralysis that I experienced post-awakening is a matter of concern. It might be indication of some brain problems, huge stress, or distress. I hope I don't get that back again, and wish nobody who reads this does. It was terrifying. Good-day people. Freddy aint real, so have a calm mind before sleeping. I'm thankful he didn't visit me, so far.

-Peace out!

8th January 2019

Absence Sharpens Love, Presence Strengthens it.

For now I've named the Post just as the day I'm going to describe, because the day in itself is a special day. It Started with the Mid-night Wishing Abdy(Abdullah) a Happy Birthday. I was a bit unhappy that I couldn't be there but the thought that I'd be somewhere else dismissed what ever guilt I had. I wished him, and thought he was better enjoying than disturb him. The day had began, with my train being late I was okay with it. Since I had experienced worse. I was charging my phone so utilizing the moment was "The presence of mind" which I wish my Job interviewer would have notices. Jokes apart. It was cold, but I had the beanie in my bag. I set up my Alarm at two different timing and on two different apps. Taking extra precaution of not missing my station, I even switched my phone to full Vibrate-Mode. The train came, usually late, Duh! I sat on my berth and it was then when it hit my head, "The thought of bringing my Blanket". I had never travelled without one, and the bone chilling cold in a sleeper compartment made me realize what a shitty-mistake(yeah Blunders are called that now) I made. I had that extra jacket, but wearing that would spoil the Gift I had for her, I was going to sleep on my bag. And that extra Jacket was actually for her, I had thought so when keeping it. She might need one. Moving on.. the Train started AND SO DID THE SHIVERING. Gosh, I was shivering like a vibrating Dildo. I had never seen one, what other things vibrate? A phone? or a drilling machine. Whatever you find the most, I was THAT. I woke up twice, every-time checking my Phone, Wallet and TIME, I really didn't wanted to miss my stop.

So there I was at CUTTACK station, after nearly 4 years. It was late and with constant conversation, well-informed. I didn't want her to take huge risks, so no chances of doubting. After her classes where cancelled. I decided to take coffee, and yeah also grab something to eat, my stomach was growling with the shivering for how empty it had been. I had skipped the dinner as well, the oily food made me to. Soon, I reached the bus stop and there, this Auto-wala says it's strike day! It was not much of a shock.. but the buses won't be plying all day. I decided informing her the same, maybe, if she had the scooty. I walked around, remembering the Good Old Days... how I used to complain Dad of walking too much. All that seemed like a couple of minutes walk. I explored the area, grabbed a water bottle, small talk with the shopkeeper, and so I came to know about All India Bandh. Shit! This had once crossed my mind, but seriously. Till now the day wasn't going soo good as I had thought, maybe because my luck was being late. No sign of her anywhere, I decided to go to the bridge. and long walk back. I saw the crowd of the party doing strike, it was peaceful but crowded, with the police leading.. it was safe. Finally I received her call, she was out, now and I knew she would come by an auto, I started walking back. Small talk with mummy while returning, I assured her(actually I assured myself more than her) that we're somewhere just outside Hostel. As I reached the spot at the same time I saw her.

She reached the same time as I did. Lucky!

She was there. First thing I noticed was her smile, she wasn't short(she exaggerated, I suppose) she was cute. Yeah, that's the first thing that ran in my head. Honestly, I told I saw her smile.. Actually it was the bold matte finished Red Lipstick. With ceasing my urge to hug her at that very moment, it was her city, all I did was a firm handshake. Cold hands, soft and then that smile. Blue hoodie, which anyone could tell was oversized, and her white jeans which made her look more cuter. Then like Gwen from Spider-verse, she pulled down the hood and "OH MY GOD!" That was shocking revelation. She had them coloured. I don't know what the terms are, it was some shades dark some light, some natural. But haircut didn't surprise me much. I had that calculated and she actually pulled it off really good. I don't know if I had ever seen anyone befitting that haircut. One can confidently say those were felicitous.
Moving on, she decided we must take an Auto, great witted I must say. So we were now moving... One thing, I must say.. she has that smile, that one where if you see a person smiling with a smile like that, whatever is going in your head, you'll forget it and start smiling with that person for a moment. And her light brown eyes enchanted me combined with that fabulous smile.

I know myself. I take hell lot of time to open up. So I thought lets get started formally as a friend. With casual teasing.. and having fun in the auto, it was quick we reached the Smart city: Bhubaneshwar.  Quite smart and dumb as well. I don't know much about girly stuff... But this thing, mattered to her, it was like the last piece of a puzzle you're solving which took like a week to it and that piece goes missing. I was worried it could be phone, or wallet or jewellery, but it was her Favorite: Color-Pop Bold Red; Matte finish Lipstick. Yeah, not a big deal for guys but big deal for this young lady, specially my girl who has just one obsession and it's Lipsticks. We lost the auto-Uncle and so our hope of getting the thing. But fortunately, I got the opportunity to get hold of her hand. Uhh.. I just don't want to scare her by unnecessary holding hands or unnecessary anything.

This city had a different scene than Cuttack. This city was scared as timid rabbit. With all the shops and mall closed, we just had the roads to road and no-where else. And so we did that. Finally we sat at a grocery shop(actually the second, first one was already closing). I was still trying opening up. We did the conversation... Ahh.. the conversation felt so good. It was like we meet everyday and talk for hours. I got introduced to a new Chips. After getting rejected from multiple closed doors, me landing into gobar , Searching for a mall in every direction only to find it closed, her leg getting that nerve refraction.. We moved forward to a different mall.. This mall was partially closed. I was getting my luck fixed. We got there.. It was vacant and that was good. Holding her arms, observing her.. The smile she had was something to look at.. Her stories were good, but now I realize I interrupted her a lot. That commenting, wasn't out of nervousness but for the sheer habit of me Trolling friends. She had a way of narrating, with occasional sleek cheek bones outcasting every light in that mall...
It was then She asked for a guessing game. And ohh God I fucked it so bad. I could have shattered my head against the 30 feet window pane. Fudge, she was tapping her fingers against her cheeks and that's why I said Kiss on cheeks. Sheesh...

But naah... She was with me, her sweet charismatic aura made me smile every-time I took a glimpse of her, soon making me forget that mistake.

Efficiency and Corruption go hand in hand

Corruption is the unethical act performed by the group of people using power of position or authority to acquire personal benefits. It is a social issue which adversely affects the economy of nation. Corruption uses unethical means to get advantage of others. It is the mistreatment of public resources just for getting some unfair advantage to fulfil little wish. It is concerned with the unnecessary and wrong use of both power and position by anyone whether in the government or non-government organization. People forget the real responsibility of being a human just because of the money. We need to understand that money is not everything and it is not a stable thing. Corruption is a selfish desire that only benefits oneself and does not think about the other person or the whole nation.
Efficiency is the state or quality of being efficient. In technical terms it means “Producing more output in a given time.” From the economics point of view, it refers to how well resources are utilized to produce optimum product that benefits the consumers without getting wasted. For a country to be efficient, it must look at all the aspects and lead the nation hand in hand in all areas. Lacking in any one can drastically impact the efficiency.

Governments in developing countries play an important role in the growth process, most notably through their budgetary policies. Efficiency is estimated for developing countries using data envelopment analysis and subsequently employed in a general to specific approach in order to identify its determinants. Various factors determine the efficiency for a country, for example; Per capita income, GDP, health, life expectancy etc. If one is biased and thinks for own selfish needs the efficiency is affected and may result in other low scoring areas.

As we have seen, corruption is mostly an evil act that thrives only because of greediness and efficiency is the measure of all the factors combined. I disagree that with corruption, efficiency can be attained.

Talking about our nation, India, it lays 5th lowest in terms of energy efficiency. India low ranks not just the energy field but also in other fields like Education system, life expectancy, etcetera.. India ranks 81 in Global Corruption Index out of 153 countries. It can also be seen that, the top non corrupt countries are the ones that are developed. This actually shows that with corruption there is a decline in development, progress and efficiency. Corruption often results in widening the gap between the rich and poor. People with power take most of the credit in form of money, power or expensive gifts.

Take the example: Most often the food items meant for the marginalised citizens of India does not even reach them. This is a form of corruption where the CORRUPT actually steal food literally out of the Mouths of people who do not have 2 square meals a day. This is perhaps the most visible form of corruption. MNREGA ,SUBSIDY etc are similar in nature. These end up keeping the poor very poor and are very much evident.

Corruption at every level affects the overall efficiency, monopolising every sector following the footsteps of developed nation has resulted in small scale corruption. We seem to be following the roadmap of developed countries mainly US, but we fail to recognise that US has more than 300 years of independent history. It’s been a long time since poverty and hunger was their problem. Also they are pushing obsolete environmentally damaging sectors to developing countries. And we seem to gladly call it development/growth.

What we must strive to do instead is form our own inclusive model.  Quoting APJ Abdul Kalam- "India should walk in its own shadow; we must have our own model."

SOLVED: "Cannot mount /vendor" :MAGISK

This post is a help to Fix Magisk Install Error 1 problem in TWRP.

Okay, so you might be either switching from Super Su to Magisk, or this might be the first time you're rooting your phone, but one this is for sure: You are Rooting your phone.
Let's get into this, What is Magisk?

Magisk is an alternative to Chainfire's SuperSU, a better alternative to be precise. With Magisk you can hide your rooting. This is helpful specially when you want to use Banking Apps Like: Google Pay,PayTM, PayPal or even some games like PokemonGo which detect your device is rooted and thus does'nt work normally or doesn't work at all. For this Problem, Magisk is for your rescue. It systemless-ly masks your device so that these Apps cannot detect the Root.
Magisk is created by Topjohnwu, who created Magisk Manager and kept is open Source unlike SuperSU. Thus, Magisk is more likely to be improved by any developer who wish to contribute.

Let's move on to Rooting your device:

Rooting  your device is simple and easy, though it has some risk of bricking your phone. I recommend only developers to root their phone.
I won't be going into the same process depicted by other sites and only to flash and result in Error1.
I've gone through many process like:

  • Using a different ROM.
  • Formatting your phone completely.
  • Extracting your ROM's .zip file and Flashing it.
  • Extracting .img boot file, pasting it someplace in internal Memory.
All the above are crap, just time wasting and data wasting.
Let's to the Step by Step Procedure:
NOTE: I'm a Redmi 4A developer and tester, so this might not possibly work for other phone model. but I've tester for Redmi 5A and Note 4 as well.

  1.  Full charge your Phone. This is a necessary step a few don't bother considering it and have faced a lot of issues.

  2. Take a complete Backup of your Phone.

  3. Go back to Stock ROM(The ROM that came pre-installed on your phone). If you are first time rooting, just ignore this step.[Not a Mandatory step. works on most custom ROM as well. I've tried AEX, LineageOS15.1, RR6.0]

  4. I've never seen Magisk didn't work on  any ROM, so don't worry, I got you. Note: All these ROM had Oreo.

  5. Make sure you've unlocked your bootloader. Now download TWRP but here's the thing. Download TWRP recovery with vendor. Download link: REDMI_4A_TWRP- Rolex
    Redmi_5A_TWRP- Riva

  6. Now install this Recovery using Fastboot, using PC, I recommend Minimal ADB & Fastboot.

  7. That was it. Now flash Magisk and Reboot to system.

  8. You will an App Magisk Manager installed on your device.
  9. That's it. you're done. Now to hide Rooting, this manager will help to install a file and select the apps from which you wish to hide the Rooting. Enjoy!!
Further to install any Custom ROM. Flash the zip file, your Magisk would still be installed. and phone would still be rooted.๐Ÿ˜Ž
